Name
- This shall be the New Forest Junior Athletic Club

Objects
- The object of the club is to promote amateur athletics.
|
Membership
- The club shall consist of amateurs, according to the AAA definition of an amateur.
- Application for membership shall be made in writing to the club secretary and approved by a majority of the management committee.
- Each member shall pay a subscription decided at the Annual General Meeting.
- Subscriptions must be paid for the current year before the member can compete for the club except where the the club choose to waive this rule.
- To resign, a member must inform the club secretary in writing.
- Any member guilty of misconduct (i.e. behavior contrary to the constitution) may be cautioned once or expelled from the club by a majority decision of the management committee.
- Any person expelled will have the right to appeal to the management committee meeting called at his/her request not later than two weeks from the date of expulsion.
- AAA Rule 19. The committee shall have power to expel any member whose subscription is six months in arrears, provided a month's notice in writing shall have been sent to such member by registered or recorded delivery letter, addressed to his/her last known address, informing him/her of the proposed action of the committee.
- The name and address of any person so expelled shall be sent to the Hon. Secretary of the Area association who shall the name in a book (to be called the "black book") kept for that purpose. The suspended person may not compete under AAA laws until the liability has been discharged

Management
- The management committee shall consist of Chairman, Club Secretary, Club treasurer (plus other elected officers) and three other members who will be elected at the annual general meeting.
- An honorary president may also be chosen at the AGM.
- The management committee shall meet at least three times per year.
- A quorum for the management committee shall be three.
- All decisions will be by majority vote; the chairman shall have a casting vote in the event of a tie.
- The management committee has the power to co-opt extra members up a limit of three; to create trustees, and form a sub-committee as and when considered necessary.
- An auditor who must not be a committee member must be elected annually by the AGM.

Annual General Meeting
- The AGM will be held during September and the following business undertaken.
- The report will be read and discussed
- The audited accounts will be presented.
- The officers will be elected.
- Motions to be discussed must be submitted in writing to the club secretary at least one week before the meeting.
- Standing orders or rules may be changed by a majority decision.
- One third of all paid up members will constitute a quorum.
- Only members of fourteen years and over will be eligible to vote.
- The chairman shall have a casting vote.

Club Colours
- The colours of the club shall be Royal blue and white vest and black shorts.
- Club colours must be worn by all competitors representing the club at every competitive meeting.

Amendments to the Constitution
- The management committee, by a majority at a quorum meeting, may propose amendment to the constitution.
- The changes may be made only at the AGM or an extra-ordinary general meeting called for that purpose. Two weeks notice must be given for the EGM.
- A quorum shall consist of one quarter of the membership. If the motion is passed by majority vote, the amendment to the constitution will be adopted.
- Alternatively, five ordinary paid up and voting members may petition the Hon. Secretary in writing, to call an EGM in which the conditions in the previous paragraph will apply with respect to calling the meeting and voting at it.

Dissolution
- The management committee, by a majority vote at a quorum meeting, may decide to dissolve the club.
- They must then call an EGM giving two weeks notice to all club members.
- If the motion is passed by a majority vote the club is then dissolved.

- Upon dissolution any funds remaining after all debts have been met will be donated to the New Forest Schools Athletic Association to be used in furtherance of amateur athletics in the New Forest district.
