Minutes of Previous Meeting

The Minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.

Matters Arising

The new club at Poulner has commenced with support from the club, Bournemouth A C and Active Sports Partnership.

Correspondence

Letter from Esso re sponsorship grant of £250.00 for additional equipment. Letter of thanks sent to Esso. Application made on behalf of the club by Ashley Parry (VIP award). It was decided to spend part of the grant on the following with immediate effect. 2 or 4 way radio, suitable barrier poles to isolate long jump run up, 10 small cones and medicine balls (2 x 1k and 2 x 2k).

Social Secretary’s Report

Club barbeque to be held at Julie’s house on Saturday 23rd July. Details to be circulated nearer to the event

Team Manager’s Report

Dave reported that numbers attending events were reasonable with the exception of the under thirteens, which appears to be down at present.

Secretary’s/Coaching Co-ordinator’s Report

Written report submitted by Gary. Gary requested the following;

Monies from Fawley Rugby club be used for additional/replacement equipment for the U11 group or social events. Agreed.

Club to offer financial assistance to individual athletes to compete above county standard. After some discussion proposal was rejected.

Club to open discussions with Andover regarding a composite team in the Nationasl Junior League next season. Agreed.

Proposed that Carly Holder be offered the opportunity to attend level one coaching course. Agreed
(Sharon Bosworth also agreed to consider taking level one course).

Treasurer’s Report

No report due to Phil Irwin’s absence. Current balance is £3071.02

Membership Secretary’s Report

No report due to Dave’s absence. Current membership is now 105

Child Welfare Officer’s Report

Clubmark

No progress to date.

Development Plan 2004

Hardley School are reluctant to site the throws cage. It was areed to explore alternative sites after discussing it again with Hardley School.

Any Other Business

Year 7 Grand Prix to be held at Testwood School on the 29th June.

It was agreed to provide a coach for the Isle of Wight fixture. No charge to be made to club members. Coach pick up will be from East Cowes.

The club will be invited to the inter club meeting at Bournemouth on Weds 13 th July. Details to follow (years 5,6 and 7).

Sharon to sell off remaining tee shirts at £1 each and arrange for new stock of club kit (hoodies etc).

It was agreed to produce a newsletter again soon. Tim to discuss with Mandi.
