Minutes of Previous Meeting

The Minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.

Matters Arising

There were no matters arising.

Correspondence

The correspondence was read and circulated.

The Club agreed to accept the invitation to the Tidworth Cup on 1st May 2005.

Team Manager’s Report

Cross Country

Hampshire Championships Under 17 Women – Bronze medallists in the team event. There are definitely two athletes from the Club (and possibly four) competing in the Inter Counties competition at Nottingham.

There are six athletes from the Club going to the Schools Inter Counties competition.

SportsHall

In the Hampshire Sportshall League, the Under 11 Boys, the Under 11 Girls and the Under 13 Girls all finished in 6th position overall. The Under 13 Boys finished in 8th position.

In the Under 15 Girls competition, Tiffany Markham won the overall title, Danielle Gray finished 4th and Rebecca Gray finished 19th out of 40 competitors.

Tiffany, Danielle and Zara Martin have all been selected to represent Hampshire at the Inter Counties Sportshall competition on 26 February 2005, to be held at Portsmouth.

Track and Field

It was unanimously agreed that the Club enters a male team in the National Junior League.

Secretary’s/Coaching Co-ordinator’s Report

There is a need for parents to consult with Mandy Gray when bringing Under 11s along to the Club for training, as she is the Under 11s co-ordinator.

It was agreed to adopt a rotational system for Under 13s on a Tuesday evening coaching session. For Thursday sessions, the coaches have agreed to a rotational coaching system.

Treasurer’s Report

The balance as at 31/1/05 is £2634.42 (£2738.32 previous balance).

Child Welfare Officer’s Report

It was agreed that qualified coaches should keep a first aid kit with them at all times. The Club will provide this.

Clubmark

This is in progress.

Any Other Business

Gary Gray will be liaising with Hardley School about the quality of the facilities.
