Minutes of Previous Meeting

The Minutes from the previous meeting were read and accepted. 

Matters Arising

The club trip to the Isle of Wight was considered a success. Thanks to Dave for organising the cars.
Training groups during the summer appeared to work adequately with few problems.

Treasurer’s Report

No report submitted. Tim reported that the club’s finances remain healthy with £2970.23 in credit. It was agreed to purchase the following. Sportshall equipment (£600 approx). Club tee-shirts (£200 approx.

Membership Secretary’s Report

No report submitted. Dave W emailed to say that he will not be standing for any office next year.

Child Welfare Officer’s Report

Team Manager’s Report

Dave submitted a written report detailing the season which included a good position in the Young Athletes League and despite finishing in the last three, the Wessex League was considered successful with a particularly good placing for our U15 girls.

The National Junior League was disappointing as very few of our athletes were available and it was agreed not to compete in the league next season. Tim will contact Andover regarding the committee’s decision.

Coaching Co-Coordinator’s Report

Dave submitted a written report detailing the summer training and U11 training group. It was agreed to present Mandy with a gift of flowers in appreciation of her work with the U11 group. Dave also detailed training proposals for the winter. To be discussed after the AGM.

Due to building work the Sportshall will not be available until after half term.

Development Plan

Awaiting report from Noadswood School. Updated development plan to be published for AGM.

Clubmark

Clubmark accreditation now submitted.

Newsletter

Club newsletter continues to be published monthly on the club website.

Any Other Business

Angi asked that the club insists that athletes turn up for training in suitable trainers. It was agreed to check them on a regular basis.

Tim to publish winter fixture list. Still awaiting Wessex XCL and Sportshall fixtures however.

Club to run the NFPSS XC relay champs at Gang Warily on Tuesday 10th October (note change of date). Any volunteers would be most appreciated.

Club to run the year NFPSS year 3 and 4 XC relay champs at Ashley School on Wednesday 18th October. Again volunteers would be most welcome.

Club to run NFPSS Sportshall champs at Applemore Recreation Centre on Saturday 11th November. Angi to co-ordinate the event. Equipment will be provided from Abbotswood School.

Date of Next Meeting

The date for the AGM will be Monday 2nd October at Noadswood School. 7.30pm for 8.00pm. To be confirmed.
