Minutes of Previous Meeting

The Minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.  A meeting was held on 23rd November regarding the Club’s move to Noadswood School.

Matters Arising

Correspondence

Tim spoke about New Forest District Council Leisure Review Panel meeting where we made our presence known regarding funding for athletics at Noadswood School.

A letter was received from UK Athletics regarding Andover becoming a composite team with New Forest Juniors, which is to be known as New Forest Andover AC.

A letter was received from New Forest District Council regarding the success of the recent primary schools Sportshall event.  The letter expressed special thanks to Mandy and Gary Gray.

The problems of keeping an up to date register was discussed.  It was agreed that we need to compile a proper printed register.

Team Manager’s Report - Cross Country

Approximately 12 athletes are participating in competitions.  We have teams of Under 13 Girls and Under 15 Girls (who are in 3rd place in the Hampshire League).  Charlotte Bates is doing very well at present.

In the schools competition, 3 athletes are through to the Counties competition.

Secretary’s Report

Tim expressed thanks to Gary for his role as Club Secretary who has stood down as secretary. Cathy Smallwood agreed to take over the role.  

It has been decided that Mandy Gray will not be taking a team to the Mini Games this year.

New Training Venue

Tim spoke about the new training venue at Noadswood School.  The pros and cons were discussed of moving the Club to Noadswood School for summer training.

Clubmark

 Tim is still working on Clubmark.

Any Other Business

The small numbers of younger athletes competing in competitions was discussed and what can be done to rectify this
