Team Manager’s Report - Cross Country

Charlotte Bates was the overall winner of the U17 Women’s age group in the Hampshire XC League and the U15 Girl’s were third.

Being only a small club the achievements by the Charlotte and the girls were outstanding. Charlotte, Alice Cole and Dale Hansford represented Hampshire Schools at XC.

Charlotte, Willow Kemp and Laura Pankhurst were selected for Hampshire at the Reebok Inter Counties Championships at Nottingham. Charlotte was part of the Hampshire bronze winning team.

Secretary’s Report

Treasurer’s Report

No report. Tim reported that the club’s finances have improved now all affiliations have been paid and outstanding subs have been collected. Balance is £415.27.

Membership Secretary’s Report

No report submitted. It was agreed that Sharon will circulate Membership and medical forms to new athletes joining the club.

2006 Fixture List

Latest fixture list now available

New Training Venue

It was agreed to return to Hardley School for summer training after the Easter holiday. Training to operate on a voluntary rotational basis (i.e. sprints, endurance, jumps and throws). Dave to finalise details.

Development Plan

Bearing in mind change of venue and facilities, development plan to be reviewed and presented at next meeting.

Clubmark

Tim is still working on Clubmark. Recently attended Equity in coaching course. Attendance register now up to date and effective.

Newsletter

Club newsletter re-launched. Although hard copies will be available. It is intended to be read on the club website. “The Juniors” will be published monthly. 

Any Other Business

Club to make a donation to Jaki Brown for website services.

Following the success of the sponsored indoors multi events competition (thanks to Mandy and her team) it was proposed to have another fund raising event in the summer.
