Welcome to our latest club newsletter. We’ll try and keep you up to date and informed of what’s going on in the club, future events, achievements and lots lots more. We’ll publish every month so don’t be too disappointed if something you want published isn’t. Just let us know and we’ll put it in next month.

Welcome to our second newsletter of 2007. Well, we’ve nearly finished the cross country season with only one Wessex league fixture left at Ringwood. We will soon be able to concentrate on track and field again.

Our last Hampshire XC league took o Wimborne with a small team, where despite not starting, Charlotte was able to secure overall third place in her age group. Well done Charlotte. She also represented Hampshire recently at Nottingham and will be finishing her schools running career representing Hampshire at English Schools next month at Leeds. Our under fifteen girls team took fourth place at Wimborne and Georgina Crouch ran her first race for the club in the under thirteen girl’s age group coming 40th out of 50 finishers. The next day we had a Wessex league fixture at Salisbury. Again despite only a few athletes being available Tyler had a great run to finish 11th in the under thirteen girls race.

Zara will be going to the national finals of the under fifteen girl’s indoor multi events competition next month. We wish her the best of luck at the national indoor arena, Birmingham.

- Fixtures are slowly becoming available. The first Wessex Young league match at Bournemouth (22nd April) may be moved to another date however. Full details in the next newsletter. We are competing in the Wessex and UKA Young Athletes leagues this season. Age groups will be from under 11s to under 20s.
- The first Wessex league fixture will now be at Bournemouth on Sunday 15th April. Hampshire T&F Championships forms are available for anyone who wants to enter. They can be obtained direct from Hampshire Athletic Association - Track and Field Championships 12/13 May 2007. The full fixture list will be available soon. Congratulations also to Chrissy being awarded the New Forest East Sports person of the year.
- New Forest School Sport partnership at www.nfssp.co.uk. Our club is working very closely with with the partnership and hopes to improve our links with all the schools, both Junior and Senior in the New Forest. It’s worth a visit.
