Welcome to our latest club newsletter. We’ll try and keep you up to date and informed of what’s going on in the club, future events, achievements and lots lots more. We’ll publish every month so don’t be too disappointed if something you want published isn’t. Just let us know and we’ll put it in next month.
to our May newsletter. Chrissy and Tyler have been burning up the track and field this season with national rankings to their names. Tyler is 13th nationally in the 800m (2:28.51s), 7th in the 150m (19.9s) and 21st in the 200m (28.38s). Chrissy is currently second in her best event high jump (1.74m) and 20th in the shot (10.31m). Well done, fantastic achievement.
Hampshire Championships
There were only eight entries from our club at this year’s championships. However between them they picked up eight medals including four gold! In addition, Michelle Bigg representing Basingstoke picked up four medals.
Wessex League-Isle of Wight
We will again be visiting the Isle of Wight. The date is Sunday 15th June taking the 9am ferry from Southampton. A coach will pick us up from East Cowes and take us to Sandown. You need to reserve your seat(s) on the coach as soon as possible as numbers will be restricted. More details later. Let Dave or Tim know

National Young Athletes League.
Our next fixture is on Sunday 1st June at Salisbury. We are currently second in the league. So a good turnout would be appreciated in order to maintain our promotion challenge.
New Forest Schools
Many of our athletes represented their schools recently at the district championships. Well done to everyone. I should have results soon so I can include them in the next newsletter.
Coaching Courses
The next local level one course is on October 11th at Winchester. One or two of our older athletes have expressed an interest. So if you want to add to your CV and help coach the younger athletes please let Tim know as soon as possible.
