Welcome to our September newsletter. With the schools back, it’s now time to think about our Autumn/Winter training and competition programme. Schools will have Sportshall (Primary only) and cross country coming up soon. The club starts its cross country season in October.
Club Picnic
The club held its first picnic at Moonhills recently. A fair number of parents and children turned up on a lovely late summer afternoon. It was a great success with lots of games and a chance for all to sit back and enjoy themselves. Big thanks to everyone who turned up. A definite for next year.
Under Eleven’s Group
Our under eleven’s group has now grown so much (30+) that any new children wishing to come along will, with regret, have to go on a waiting list. We don’t have enough space in the sportshall or coaches to cater for any more at present.
Sunday training
Dave’s Sunday training group now meets regularly at Orchard School. If you wish to come along just let one of the coach’s know. After half term, we will extend the training to include other events, if there is enough interest. Holidays and other issues mean we can’t start until then. Full details in due course.
Noadswood School
Training is now well under way at the school on with record numbers. We are awaiting completion of improvements to the facilities, which will enable us to train outside with lights. Again the club will keep you informed of any developments.
Cross Country
Our first cross country is on Saturday October 10th at Farley Mount, Winchester. First race will be at 1200, so remember to get there early so you can walk the course, warm up and be on the line in plenty of time. To achieve a team score we need three or more finishers in each age group. See Catherine or Tim for more info nearer the day.
That’s All Folks
