to the August edition of the Junior’s newsletter. Well the track and field season is just about over. It seems such a long time ago that the club journeyed down to Bournemouth in April for the first Wessex League meeting of the season. Our fixtures were completed with a Junior League match at Portsmouth earlier this month.
Looking ahead, we have the possibility of two Road Relay fixtures at Aldershot (Southern) in September and Nationals at Birmingham in October. It is planned to enter age group (including for the first time a Senior Women’s) teams. Anyone interested need to contact Tim Wilding as soon as possible as entries have to be pre entered. Full teams will only be entered.
Then in October, the cross country season kicks off with our first Hampshire XC League meeting at Farley Mount. We will also compete in the Wessex XC League. However the meeting dates and venues haven’t yet arrived. The winter fixture list will be published as soon as possible.
Training will commence for the Endurance only group at Noadswood School as soon as the autumn term starts. Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 to 8pm. meet outside the Sports hall. The other groups will start first week in October.
The club intends to strengthen and develop its links with the school during the winter. We’ll keep you fully informed as soon as the club completes it’s discussions with interested parties.
Just a final well done to everyone who competed for the club and to our officials and parents who helped out on the day. Not forgetting our long suffering team manager, Dave.
