Kelly Way was the Juniors highest placed runner at the first Hampshire Cross Country League of the season taking 11th place in 16 mins 28 secs over the 4k course with Rachael Smallwood 19th (18:10) both in the under seventeen women’s race at a warm and sunny Farley Mount.

In the under fifteen girl’s race, Michelle Powell was 38th (13.14), Stephanie Smallwood 51st and Jess Martin 57th (15:24) over the 3.2k course. Harriet Hoare was the first club runner to finish in the under thirteen girl’s race over 2.4k in 21st place (09.58) with Gemma Brown (11:26) in 48th. Charlotte Bates moved up to the senior women’s race and was 28th (24:49) over the 6k course.

Dan Powell in the under seventeen’s men was the Junior’s only male runner coming 30th in 23:45 over the 6k course.
