New Forest Juniors' Charlotte Bates produced her best ever Hampshire Cross-Country League finish at Goodwood. Competing in the U17 women's race, she caught several runners on the hill to place second in 15 minutes and 26 seconds.
Gemma Knell was pick of NFJ's U13 girls in 14th (10.20), followed by Michelle Powell (26th, 10.44), Frankie Hooper (31st, 10.56) and Stephanie Smallwood (43rd, 11.26). Overall the team came fifth.
The U15 girls took third team spot, led by Alice Cole in 21st (14.12). Kelly Way was 24th (14.18) and, despite taking a fall, Becky Knell completed a fine team performance in 25th (14.22).
Amelia Faulkner-White was 42nd (15.05).Laura Pankhurst had a better run for 14th in the U20 women's race (26.49) while NFJ's sole male competitor, Dan Powell, placed 44th U15 boy in 15.48.
